Hi @Kaleab12x,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are your HP Omen 16 laptop is experiencing some technical issues. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

Hard Reset: Disconnect the laptop from any power source, including the charger, and then press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds. This should drain any residual power from the system. After that, try turning on the laptop again.

Check for Display Issues: Since you mentioned connecting it to another monitor, it seems like the laptop might have encountered a display issue. Try connecting it to an external monitor again and see if you can access the display.

Keyboard Unresponsiveness: If the keyboard is unresponsive, it might indicate a deeper issue with the laptop's hardware or firmware. Try connecting an external USB keyboard to see if you can use that to initiate a shutdown or restart.

Battery Drain: Let the laptop's battery drain completely by leaving it unplugged and with the power button held down for an extended period. Then, after a while, try plugging it back in and turning it on again.

Check for BIOS Update: Sometimes, issues like this can be resolved with a BIOS update. However, since you're unable to access the power options, you might need to reach out to HP support for assistance in performing a BIOS update.

Hardware Issue: If none of the above steps work, it's possible that there could be a hardware issue with your laptop, such as a faulty power button, motherboard issue, or other component failure.

To assist you better May I know the Operating system?
