HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-cp0000 IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

I recently updated drivers on this laptop.  Something failed and I have this error message when it boots up:

     Stop code: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (0xA

     What failed:  ntoskrnl.exe

I have tried all options shown during the process, which is tp diagnose and repair, continue to Windows 11, or just shut down.  Nothing works.  I don't have a restore point or recovery CD/USB drive.  Is there another way to attack this repair?  All help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Follow the steps below:
1. Turn the laptop on.
2. As soon as you see the Windows logo or spinning dots, hold the power button to shut it off.
3. Repeat that same forced shutdown 3 times.
4. On the next boot, Windows should show Preparing Automatic Repair or the recovery screen.

Run System Restore
Once you see Choose an option:
1. Select Troubleshoot
2. Select Advanced options
3. Select System Restore

Then:
1. Pick your Windows account.
2. Enter the password if prompted.
3. Choose the restore point created before the driver update.
4. Click Next.
5. Review the scan for affected programs if you want.
6. Click Finish and let it complete.

System Restore does not usually delete personal files, but it can remove recently installed drivers, updates, and apps that were added after the restore point. Microsoft also notes you can show more restore points if the first list does not include the one you want.
