I have been logging into my laptop with the same password for several months now and then a few days ago I tried and it wouldn't let me in, it came up with an error saying offline.
The password was definately correct and checked caps lock wasn't on.
Via internet on phone, logged into microsoft account from website (with the usual password) and it let me in. From there changed password just incase.
Tried new password and it still won't help.
Have read several support items and have tried various things but none have worked so far.
One said to press the windows key and then R to get to settings but can't do this unless logged in, which can't do.
Any assistance / sugestions would be much appreciated.

Hi,
It may be worth trying the following.
First, hardwire the notebook to the router/access point.
When done, start the notebook and at the log on screen, click the Ease Of Access icon in the bottom right corner, select On-Screen Keyboard and enter your password using this.
