Hi,

My laptop is cycling between the ‘repairing disk errors this may take more than an hour’ screen and trying to boot again, starting repairs and then back to the same screen. It has been doing this overnight and has not made any progress.

My laptop will not be under warranty so I would like to know what I can do to fix it?

Hold the power button down for 4-5 seconds to force the laptop to shutdown. After a brief pause power it on again.Immediately after powering on start tapping the Esc key. This will open a menu where F2 System Diagnostics is an option. Tap F2 key and run the tests.

After trying this everything is coming up as passed but the laptop still won’t boot to windows.
