I purchased this computer in November 2020. 10 months later, it stopped being able to turn on and went back to HP for repair. HP did not specify what they fixed, but the computer worked. Oddly enough, another 10 months gone by and EXACTLY the same problem is occurring. Obviously, they either didn't fix anything and just convinced it to work again until the same thing happened, or they fixed it using the same defective parts as were used in the original computer. In either case, I have a dead computer which I've gotten very little use from. Here's the problem in detail:
Power button does nothing. When plugged in, the LED next to the power cord lights, and changes color when the battery is charged. I've tried holding the power button down for periods from 10 seconds to a full minute, both plugged in and unplugged, with zero results. The computer just sits there, no lights, no sounds...nothing. As I mentioned earlier, this happened 10 months ago and had to go back to HP.
Original purchase 11/27/2020
Dead and repaired 8/24/2021 (10 months later)
Dead again 6/20/2022 (10 months after repair)
Will HP repair this under warranty? I've tried using the "contact us" methods on the support page, but get nowhere. HELP!!

Thanks, but I've tried those techniques with no results. I'm a computer engineer, so I don't post in places like this unless I'm quite desperate and have tried the usual routes.
My biggest problem is with HP, who won't even communicate with me about the problem. The only published phone numbers are for sales, and the tech and warranty support numbers don't exist unless you pay more money. Having a twice failed $600 computer only 18 months old does not inspire me to spend yet more. They need to fix this problem which has existed since the computer was new.
