I updated bios and unfortunately after a few days the laptop stopped booting and not even bios would boot.
I tried connecting my hdmi to see if anything shows, but it doesn’t.
The flashing light on the capslock blinks 3 times indicated a problem with the bios.
I created the bios recovery program on a usb and tried to do the recovery that is supposed to work, but it hasn’t
It had a fresh hdd, so their was no recovery partition to boot from. I used that program to make one using another computer, but that doesn’t work either.
I checked the cmos battery and it has enough charge
The only think that I can think of now is that the motherboard is dead or has a problems.
If anyone has any other ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey There! @markaf89, Welcome to HP forums!
I understand you mentioned the caps lock is blinking 3 times repeatedly on your PC.
Don't worry I'd like to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
Please provide the product number of your PC to assist you better.
Three-time blinks on the caps lock indicate memory module failure or the memory slot could have failed on your PC.
Try reseating the memory on your PC and try with a single memory on each slot and check the faulty memory.
If you are able to boot into BIOS try the steps recommended below.
1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
Also, try running a system diagnostics test on your PC and check if the hardware components on your PC are working fine.

Thank you for you response.
As mentioned in the subject the computer is a Pavillion x360 11-k117cl
I realized that its not 3 blinks, but 2 quick blinks and 2 slow blinks.
The laptop does not have any memory slots. I believe it is just an integrated memory chip
I had installed a new hard drive, installed windows , and upgraded bios (i thought since there was a way to fix it even if their was a problem with bios)
I tried doing a reset by disconnecting the battery/ac, holding down power button for 15 seconds and reconnecting battery/ac and turning on, but it didn't do anything

@markaf89, Thanks for your quick response and time.
I appriciate your efforts for writing back to us.
As you mentioned you see 2 quick 2 slow blinks on the caps lock.
The error indicates The main area (DXE) of BIOS has become corrupted, and there is no recovery binary image available. (Also happens when updating the BIOS.)
Try recovering the BIOS on your PC and check if it helps.

Hope this helps!

@markaf89, thanks for your prompt response and time.
I appriciate your efforts for writing back to us.
As you mentioned you are unable to perform a recovery as the screen stays black on your PC.
It certainly looks like a hardware issue with your PC.
I will share you few details through a private message about the service options dedicated to your laptop.

Have a blessed day ahead!
