Good afternoon, you have written very little about the condition of your device. Please tell us in more detail about its state, how the button flashes, whether your fan starts up.

My laptop is a a pavilion I5 can 1004NA

it is 2 yrs and 2 months old so just out of warranty. It is not heavily used.
The power light started to flash and wouldn’t boot up the screen was black. The power button has now stayed on and the caps lock flashes 3 long and 2 short and I can hear the fan.
To get to this we tried windows button with B.

is there any other information you need.

look forward to your reply.

You need to try to install a known fixed RAM module. If this does not help, then the next step is to check the soldering of the RAM connector under a microscope.

One of the options for checking you can try to gently press the RAM connector to the motherboard and turn on the laptop.
