Hello,
I am encountering an issue with my HP EliteBook x360 1040 G6. Upon startup, the screen displays the message:
“Final step of BIOS update is in progress.”
The message remains indefinitely, and the laptop does not proceed further. I have tried restarting the device, but the issue persists.
Could someone advise on how to resolve this problem? Is there a way to safely complete or interrupt the BIOS update process?
Thank you for your ass
istance!

You need to try and recover the original or a working bios.

HP support video for bios recovery
if the above does not work you may need to open the laptop up, clean it with air duster, and reset memory
let me know what happens.
