Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fa1000 (771S7AV)

I did an upgrade on my laptop (RAM upgrade) and after that my computer started to boot, but not start the OS. The screen stay dark and reboot the system. I talked to a friend who is  a Computer Technician and he told me that the motherboard has a button that activate when the back cover is removed and it generate a key locker (locker code) that locks the BIOS, but i don't know where i get this code. Can someone help me?

I have never, in all these years with HP, heard of such a code. I can't help you on this, if your computer has a password in the BIOS, this forum can't help you to bypass security systems, please contact HP directly.

Hi @B4ri0n

I don't think any HP model has that feature or at least I have never heard of it. If you remove the memory you put in extra and leave the original one the notebook works fine.

Which memory model did you use to upgrade, a fury for example?

Actually i think that the fact of the upgrade doens`t matter. The problem is that my friend and i found that HP put a feature on laptop that if you open the back cover to do anything by yourself it locks the BIOS with a password or something like that. I don`t know exactaly, but i yhink that this password is generated automatically and i don`t know where i find it to unlock the BIOS.

I thought, at first, that it was a Bios update problem, because when i updated the BIOS, it started the problem, but i can`t restore the original version. At the same moment that i updated the BIOS, i made the upgrade, so, in my opinion, it could be one of the two things that caused the problem. You know anything about the fact of a code that is generated automatically and locks the BIOS? Because it doesn't recognize anymore my ssd (original from HP) or any boot device
