Probook 470 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've removed the battery, the RAM and hooked it up to an external monitor. Nothing appears on either the laptop or external monitor screen. The fan continues to stay on and no beeps upon startup.

Does this mean the motherboard is toast?

Is there an expectation that without RAM the computer will not make a sound signifying no RAM is installed?  My computer does power up without any RAM installed.
