Hello!
I recently purchased my HP ProBook 640 G1 from a consignment pop-up shop a couple weeks ago as I knew I would need a new one as I begin school work this semester.
The consignment shop had "refurbished" it (or so they told me at the time) and then reboxed it to make the process lovely and believable.
Upon unboxing, I've realized that I there is still login information preventing me from accessing anything on the laptop past booting the laptop.
I've attempted restarting the laptop and pressing F11 repeatedly until I navigate my way to the prompt to factory reset the computer in the Recovery menu. > Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Remove Everything > Reset this PC... Enter the Recovery Key to get going again...
This is where I am stuck because it instructs me to go to https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=... from another device.
I have the Drive Label which is located on the same prompt as above.
I've also gone to F1 and data logged all of the information pertaining to the specifics of this laptop.
I DO NOT have Recovery Startup discs nor do I have the money to buy them at this time as I am a broke college student.
Could anyone instruct me on how to Factory Reset this laptop completely to default settings as if I just purchased it from a store... as I JUST did?
