Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have a question about message on my notebook screen:

grazyna1212_0-1647969868758.png

Is this a real message from Support application or it's a virus? I don't know much about computers and this message scared me a bit, because I didn't find a similar one on Google.

Hi:

It is a legitimate message, but I don't know why a BIOS update would automatically download and try to install unless you have the HP support assistant software set to automatically download and install drivers and software.

I recommend you cancel the update and don't install the update unless your notebook is connected to A/C power and your notebook's battery is at least 50% charged.

Do not have anything connected to the notebook when doing a BIOS update such as USB devices or external monitors.
