@Mike1428, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your RPC server being unavailable!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The "RPC Server is Unavailable (1722)" error usually points to a communication issue between your computer and the service handling remote procedure calls. No worries—let's troubleshoot this together!
Try These Steps:
Check the RPC Services
Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
Scroll down and look for Remote Procedure Call (RPC).
Make sure its status is Running and the startup type is set to Automatic.
Also, check RPC Endpoint Mapper and DCOM Server Process Launcher—they should be running as well.
Restart Related Services
If any of the above services aren’t running, right-click them and select Start.
If they’re already running, try restarting them.
Check Your Network Connection
If you’re on Wi-Fi, try switching to a wired connection.
Restart your router and see if that helps.
Enable RPC in Firewall Settings
Go to Control Panel > Windows Defender Firewall > Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall.
Look for Remote Assistance and Remote Desktop—make sure they’re allowed for both Private and Public networks.
Let me know how it goes!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
