- It did not happen every time but around twice to three times a week. I am using my laptop around 2-3 hrs every working day, longer in the weekend.
- It happened only once when I was gaming, and it would freeze in 10 mins after I closed the game (but not every time).
- It is like a screenshot when it freezes rather than a blue screen. I cannot move my cursor, nor can I use the keyboard either. The clock in the taskbar is not changing its time. The only two things still alive are the power key and the backlight of the laptop keyboard which keeps changing colors as configured.
- Windows Event Viewer did not record any event related to non responding or freezing. The only warning/error event in that time frame is it was restarted unexpectedly because I have to force it to restart by holding the power key.
- Updated Drivers to the latest version from HP product support site, and updated Windows
- Disconnected all devices. The only external device connected to the laptop is one Logitech MX Master 3S mouse via bluetooth (I uninstalled Logitech Option+ software).
- Run the diagnostic tool in both Windows and Bios menu and the result showed passed
- Uninstalled Omen Gaming Hub.
- I even did a fresh installation of Windows using the image downloaded from Microsoft directly last week but it froze again the next day.
It seems the problem is with the screen but I dont have a external monitor to verify.
