HP Recommended

I have forgotten the BIOS password and it is asking for a recovery key. Can this be resolved with it?

Welcome to HP Support Community.

 

We are sorry that you have forgotten your BIOS password. 

HP cannot assist with bypassing or resetting a BIOS administrator password. These files and procedures are restricted and are only handled through official service channels after ownership verification.

 

The only supported option is to visit an HP Authorized Service Center. They will require proof of purchase and the device serial number before they can assist with a BIOS password reset.

 

Please visit the nearest authorized service provider for further assistance.
