Hi @Muhammad-Hakimi , Welcome to HP Support Community!

If your laptop's BIOS update is blocked, the primary cause is often a security setting or administrative restriction. You can attempt to unblock it by modifying BIOS settings or using a manual update method with a USB drive.
Important Precautions
Risk of damage: An incorrect or interrupted BIOS update can "brick" (permanently damage) your motherboard.
Stable Power: Ensure your laptop is plugged into a stable power source, and the battery is charged to at least 50%.
Manufacturer Instructions: Always follow the specific instructions provided on your laptop manufacturer's official website.
Back up Data: Back up all important data before starting, in case an issue arises.
Troubleshooting a Blocked Update
Here are steps to resolve a blocked BIOS update:
Check for Administrative Restrictions: If the laptop belongs to an organization, the IT department may have blocked updates. You will need to contact them for assistance.
Disable Security Settings:
Restart your laptop and press the required key (commonly F2, F10, Esc, or Del) repeatedly to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup.
Navigate to the Security tab and look for options like Secure Boot, BIOS Protection, or similar features.
Disable these protection settings temporarily.
Save changes and exit the BIOS utility.
Clear the BIOS Password: If a BIOS password is set, it might interfere with the update process. Access the BIOS setup (as described above) and clear any set passwords under the Security tab.
Use Manufacturer's Update Utility in Windows: Many manufacturers provide a dedicated tool (e.g., HP Support Assistant, Dell SupportAssist, Lenovo System Update) that automatically checks for and installs the correct BIOS updates from within Windows. This is the safest method if you can access Windows.
Manual Update via USB Flash Drive: If the in-Windows methods fail, use another computer to create a bootable USB recovery drive:
Visit your manufacturer's support website and download the correct BIOS update file for your specific model.
Format a USB drive to FAT32.
Copy the downloaded BIOS file to the USB drive.
Insert the USB drive into the problem laptop.
Restart the laptop and press the key to enter the boot menu (often F12 for Dell, Esc then F2 for HP) or the BIOS setup.
Look for an option like Firmware Management, BIOS Update, EZ Flash, or Q-Flash and follow the on-screen instructions to select the file from your USB drive and run the update.

If Issues Persist
If the update process consistently fails or the laptop becomes unbootable (bricked), you may need to:
Perform a BIOS recovery using a specific key combination (e.g., Windows key + B + Power button for HP).
Reset the CMOS (requires opening the laptop and removing the small circular battery for a few minutes).

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
