Sorry, I just joined in.
How long does an SSD (Solid State Drive) last? Is it better than an HDD?
After yesterday afternoon GMT+7, my laptop could not boot because it thought the SSD was not connected or the OS was not installed, which was actually because it was in the process of installing KB5035942 (Windows Configuration Update), I think I should get ready to buy another SSD and install an older version of Windows 11 on it.

You can look up the specs for the specific model SSD you installed, and it will usually provide the average lifespan in hours.
For example:
Product Brief: WD Blue SA510 SATA SSD
The information shows that the WD SA510 SATA SSD's have MTTF (Mean Time To Failure) of 2,250,000 hours.
Sometimes a drive can fail earlier than that.
Run the hard drive diagnostics test and see what it reports.
If the drive passes, then it was probably a software issue and if it persists, you may want to back up your files and reinstall Windows.

Have tested the NVMe 2.0 SSD storage, bro, and the results are safe after successfully logging into Windows. Test using HP Support Assistant and HP PC Hardware Diagnostic Windows.
Currently in the process of symptom testing after contacting the HP team in my country. Still running 71% since this afternoon.
