My new HP laptop was working fine...then it wasn't. I have done no software or hardware changes. I have entered the BitLocker key found in my Microsoft Account. I tried restarting, powering off, automatic repair...I still receive the blue screen with the unhappy face saying the Stop code: unmountable boot volume.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if any of the steps in the video at the link below resolves the problem.
How to Fix Unmountable Boot Volume Error on Windows 11 - YouTube
You do not have to change the boot order in the BIOS to boot from the USB flash drive as indicated in the video.
To boot from the USB flash drive, turn on or restart the PC.
Immediately press the ESC key to get the menu of options.
Select the F9 boot options menu and from that select the USB flash drive and press the Enter key.
The PC should boot from the flash drive.
You can make a bootable USB W11 installation flash drive from the link below (2nd option).
