B/c after shrinking the hrd drive automatically changes to dynamic drive so all u need is to change it back to basic drive
There is app which is called easeUS partition master use this app to convert your dynamic driver to basic driver and after that the recovery partition becomes functional again 🙂
All the best

Once you update to Windows 10 it kills the original recovery partition. Shrinking the C: partition was not the problem. The only very easy way for you to get Windows 7 back is if you happened to make the recovery media while the partition was still working.

No hope is a bit strong. I asked if you made a recovery disk and I guess the answer to that is no. Yes, that recovery partition will not work now for you to reinstall Windows 7. You are going to have to find another source of OEM Windows 7 or buy an HP recovery disk for your model if you must have Windows 7. You can always reinstall Windows 10.

Yes if you had a recovery disk it would put the recovery partition back. But if the recovery partition will not boot it also will not now make a recovery disk. One more time: the recovery partition is now useless. If you must have Windows 7 you are going to have to find another source from which to install it.
