Hi @Kiril1255
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
The symptoms you're describing with your HP Notebook 15-bs029nu indicate a potential hardware issue. The blinking red light is usually an error code that can help diagnose the problem. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot:
1. Understand the Blink Code
- The three fast blinks typically indicate a RAM issue. This could mean that the memory is not properly seated or that there may be a hardware fault.
2. Perform a Power Reset
- Disconnect All Accessories: Unplug the charger and any connected devices.
- Remove the Battery (if removable):
- If your model allows it, remove the battery from the laptop.
- Hold the Power Button: Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Reconnect Everything: Reinsert the battery (if removed), plug in the charger, and try to turn on the laptop.
3. Reseat the RAM
- If you’re comfortable doing so, you can try reseating the RAM:
- Power Off and Disconnect: Ensure the laptop is powered off and disconnected from any power source.
- Open the Back Panel: Remove the screws and access the RAM slots.
- Remove and Reseat RAM: Carefully remove the RAM sticks and then reinsert them, ensuring they are firmly in place.
4. Test with One RAM Stick
- If your laptop has multiple RAM sticks, try booting with just one stick at a time:
- Remove all but one RAM stick and try to power on. If it works, the other stick may be faulty.
5. Check the Power Adapter
- Make sure the power adapter is working properly:
- Check for any visible damage to the power cable or adapter.
- If possible, test with another compatible HP charger.
6. Inspect for Hardware Issues
- Look for any visible signs of damage or loose connections inside the laptop, especially around the RAM and motherboard.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
