Good evening,
My name is Jinad Kamal. I had recently upgraded my notebook. I previously had heard some beeping sounds while booting several times. Today, I came across this message " cmos checksum is invalid". Also, it said that it would reset the bios configuration. I did some googling and found out that it is due to conflict between bios and cmos. So, I checked up the hp website for bios files and it turns out that hp do not provide any driver files. I did download some files in the past from hp website if I remember correctly. I did run a check software check in hp assistant, but it does not provide any file instead it updates without downloading it locally into my device. I going to guess that the bios got corrupted & for moment I could not go to bios, WinRE, boot manager and it was in boot loop. Somehow, I got into WinRE and flashed windows. I am not sure if it has to do with the battery upgrade I did lastly which is after it showed the "cmos error". I am just going to assume that it was a coincidence. I am sorry that I couldn't get the screenshot of the "cmos error". Can someone provide me a link to download bios file. (serial no: [Personal Information Removed], model: hp1016ne)
