Hello,
I own an HP Pavilion 15-ab112nl notebook, Product Number: N0Y54EA, currently running BIOS version F.45 Rev.A.
Recently my notebookstarted presenting a continuous reboot loop problem, that is showing for some seconds the message of a automatic recovery procedure, but soon later rebooting and re-entering in the same loop. I have already tried to boot with  a USB memory stick with Windows 10 64-bit recovery pack from Microsoft, but also in this case it enters the ontinuous reboot loop. No one of the boot options (safe mode, start with prompt, ...) resolves the ontinuous reboot loop problem.
I have already tried, by entering the F2 menù of the BIOS, menù Firmware, to update the BIOS to the same version F.45 that was available on the HD partition. After updating to version F.45, the system shows a severe issue: on Windows 10 64-bit startup, it enters a continuous reboot loop displaying the Stop Code: ACPI_BIOS_ERROR.

I have tried using HP Image Assistant and HP SoftPaq Download Manager but I cannot find previous BIOS versions (F.44 or F.43) on the official portal.

I kindly request the official HP SoftPaq link to download BIOS F.44 or F.43 compatible with my model, so I can create a USB recovery key and perform a downgrade and solve the problem. Please provide also instructions on how creating a USB memory key.

System details:

Model: HP Pavilion 15-ab112nl

Serial Number: 5CD6096HJX

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Current BIOS: F.45 Rev.A

Error: ACPI_BIOS_ERROR (continuous reboot loop on Windows startup)

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi:

First, try going into the BIOS and hiding/disabling the TPM security device, save the setting, restart the PC and see if that resolves the problem.

You may want to update the BIOS to the last version HP released for your notebook (F.54).

Exe:

You can make a BIOS recovery flash drive using another Windows PC.

The progression went from F.43 to F.45.

Hi, thank you very much for your feedback. Hiding the TPM security device has resolved the problem. Now, would you suggest keeping the BIOS version F.45 with TPM hidden or upgrading to BIOS F.54 and re-enabling TPM?

Thanks again.

You're very welcome.

Solved: Re: Acpi bios error - HP Support Community - 9462304

The person had updated the BIOS to F.54 (see the link below) a while back so he could run the latest version of W10 and even with F.54 installed the error still occurred.

So, it appears you can update the BIOS if you want, but you will still need to have the TPM device disabled.
