Hello. I need help reseting the bios password on a hp 450 g1 notebook. Bought from second hand but the bios is locked.

Sorry, but by Community policy, we are no longer allowed to provide any assistance with password reset or recovery.

Here is the HP Policy: Participation:
4d. No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to bypass or subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms, fingerprint scans, etc., or to bypass any safety measures.

(WARNING IF YOU HAVE ANY COUSTOM SETTINGS THIS METHOD WILL REVERT ALL CHANGES MADE) 1. Find the manual for your HP product, 2. Check for a button cell battery, 3. Remove the battery, 4. Allow for up to 10 seconds for the CMOS to reset, 5 reinsert the battery, 6 close the product, 7. Boot up and the should not be any password.

This is a LAPTOP -- removing the CMOS battery will do nothing to reset any passwords!
