Product: hp elitebook 8440 p base model
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Its been 8 yrs since i purchased this second hand laptops & lost every contact from its seller. now i need to enter into the BIOS & saw there is a password. please help. im the owner now and have the full access of the system. MODEl: SGH103S8B2. i cant open its hardware as im beginner and laptops are compact.

I'm really sorry that we can not help you with this, but Community policy prohibits us from assisting you in any way with bypassing or resetting passwords.

For BIOS or power-on password resets, read this HP thread: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06368824.

If you are not prepared to spend the money to get HP to replace the motherboard for BIOS password resets, you could take the PC to a local repair facility to see if they can do it for you -- but we are unable to assist in that.
