I have had problems booting my laptop. It gets stuck on startup. I have tried several things and looked for answers here and in other places. I have also run tests before without getting a result. However this time when i did a run-in test it failed and i got an error message. I was hoping for help with what it means.

Hello @andreasmolin78

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Community.

Based on the picture and the code you provide, I managed to deeper check it and find the problem.

The root cause is a hardware failure - your memory (RAM chip) module has failed.

Based on the PC specs, you should have only 1 module (1 chip) of 4 GB (I hope the documents are correct).

You need to open your computer, get the faulty module out and buy a new one of the same type. Currently you should have 4 GB DDR3 RAM, your new one must be the same:

  • DDR3
  • 4 GB (1x4)
  • same speed/frequency

If you managed to start up the PC at least once, you can check the current frequency of the RAM by using AID64 software >> http://download.aida64.com/aida64extreme_build_4557_mv3fjhs6wt.zip

You can buy the memory from a reputable local tech store, order it online or check the HP Parts Store >> http://partsurfer.hp.com/

Once you replace the memory chip, the issue should be resolved. Let me know if it helps and how it goes
