Hi @GP06,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

If your HP ENVY x360 - m6-aq103dx is locking too quickly, it may be due to your screen timeout settings or power and sleep settings in Windows. Here's how you can extend the screen time:

Change Screen Timeout in Settings:

  • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  • Go to System > Power & sleep.
  • Under Screen, adjust the time for when your screen turns off (e.g., "On battery power, turn off after" and "When plugged in, turn off after").
  • Set a longer duration, such as 10 or 30 minutes, or select Never if you prefer the screen to stay on indefinitely.

Adjust Lock Screen Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
  • Scroll to the Require sign-in section.
  • Set it to Never or adjust the time to a longer duration.

Update Advanced Power Options:

  • Press Windows + X and select Power Options.
  • Click on Additional power settings on the right.
  • Select your active power plan, then click Change plan settings.
  • Click Change advanced power settings.
  • Expand Display > Turn off display after and set the desired timeout.

Check Screen Saver Settings:

  • Press Windows + S and type Screen saver.
  • Select Change screen saver.
  • If a screen saver is enabled, set the Wait time to a longer duration or disable it altogether.

Prevent Sleep Mode While Active:

  • In Power & sleep settings, ensure that Sleep settings are also adjusted for a longer time or disabled for both "On battery power" and "Plugged in" modes.

These changes should ensure your laptop doesn’t lock or turn off the screen too quickly.
