Hi. My laptop have encountered into Smart Hard Disk Error 301 while im trying to turn it on. I googled some solution and tried using F2 to do a quick run test on hard drive. But once I clicked on the "Quick Run" button, it keep on stating that "Starting the hard drive check" for hours. I'm not sure if that is a normal thing or not.
I also didnt back up the data yet. I heard that I should add new SSD and it will turn on just like before again. What should i do?

While replacing the HDD with an SSD would get the PC working again and would be faster performance in general, the problem is, a blank SSD will do nothing -- so you would have to CLONE your existing drive to it, and without being able to start the PC with your drive, you are not going to be able to do that.
If you just remove the HDD and replace it with an SDD, then you will have to reinstall Windows from scratch, along with all the apps you want to use.
