Hi,
Been reading this with interest. I have the same problem.
I updated video driver and it seems to have fixed part of the issue in that if I leave the laptop for a while, it goes to sleep (although only tried it twice).
However, if I close the lid I am faced with the blank screen / power button LED always on (i.e. should flash), and it has basically crashed.
I suppose it's early days yet in terms of a fix, to be fair, but be good if someone from HP could confirm this is a problem that is being looked at please?
I do not intend to update my bios, or anything else, until I hear something about a fix. Didn't mind updating video driver because I think that is a sensible thing to do anyway from time to time.

This fix is from 23th October 2014, dont you think the problem shouldn't be in the RTM build? I mean microsoft did what they should do when there was a special patch about the problem before 10 months. I'm almost sure the problem is only on HP laptops.

I am aware of that, thanks, just pointed that sleep issue was there and I can confirm that since I tried all TP builds since 9926. They never fixed it.
But again, if it's only HP computers having problems... I don't know what to think anymore. I will recover my 8.1 setup today and wait for the fix to upgrade to 10.

Is anyone else with these issues also having problems with videos as well? When watching Youtube and stuff, the video often breaks visually with green squares or overlapping frames and stuff. Not sure if this is linked or something others are experiencing too.
I really want to get this fixed as I can't go back to Windows 8 since a system cleanup deleted the recovery file.
