Tried that, doesn't fix anything. Also the bios update and graphics driver update only fixed tell issue temporarily....it's back to led's staying on after shutdown. But I haven't done the windows update that came back and I haven't check which graphics update I had update to, so I will post an update shortly!

Me myself did the upgrade from the ISO image not from the downloaded files (pop-up icon). It's not related to this but you never know. I updated my BIOS yesterday to the latest available version and still suffering this issue.

*Sigh* I reverted to win 8.1 from win 10 than got my BIOS updated than went back to win 10, not from the Get Windows icon but from the Media Creation Tool from microsofts website .... tested sleep/hibernate 50+ times now no issues....

What processor do you have?

I have a question. I had contacted HP support and one of the assistants had did something with the bios, i think he used the 8.1 bios. If i revert back to 8.1 do i need to do anything for prepartion before I revert or do i just keep how everything is and then go back to 8.1 and update drivers/bios and then retry with the Windows 10 ISO? Also if i do revert back, should i update the drivers using the driver manager or from the HP site?

Thats a bummer. Visually it appears from those photos you have an envy of the same era as mine, so I guess we are back to hoping Microsoft/Intel/HP figures this out.

What version of BIOS do you have now? I didn't see any new ones available. Mine says

BIOS Version/Date Insyde F.07, 6/23/2014

There is no such thing as an "8.1 bios". The bios is a thing distinct from the operating system. If you search in cortana for "system information" it calls up a program (msinfo32) hat gives you all sorts of detail, including your bios version.

DiarheaDream, BIOS update is on the hp website but its only there if you change your Operating system to 8.1 by editing after identifying your product.Install BIOS on 8.1 and then upgrade using windows 10 media tool. Reverting took me 10 minutes and re-installing windows took me about 1 hour and 30 minutes so its a total 1 hour and 40 minutes process (depends on your computer specs I7 will install it faster)

This many messages and still no reply from HP. I see HP replying to threads with one post yet they keep ignoring this one. Such a dissapointment.

Sat3rn's solution is the same as  I reported on 5th August on page 23. No one took any notice.

Laptop still working fine.
