Hi @Drew148,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG blue screen on your HP Spectre typically indicates a Plug-and-Play timeout caused by corrupted storage/USB drivers, a loose SSD, or an interrupted Windows update.

Resolve this boot loop on your HP Spectre EB-1 with these targeted steps:

Perform a hard reset:

  • Turn off the computer.

  • Disconnect the AC adapter.

  • Remove any discs or memory cards.

  • Disconnect nonessential peripherals such as printers, scanners, USB drives, and external drives.

  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.

  • Reconnect the AC adapter and turn the computer back on.

This clears temporary memory without erasing personal data.

Restore BIOS default settings:

  • Turn off the computer and wait 5 seconds.

  • Turn it on and repeatedly press F10 to enter BIOS.

  • Press F9 to load BIOS default settings.

  • Press F10 to save and exit, then confirm.

Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics:

  • In Windows, open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics | HP® Support as Administrator if you can access Windows.

  • Run the Fast Test first.

  • If no failure is found, run the Extensive Test.

  • If a component fails, note the failure ID and product ID for HP support.

Use Windows Recovery Environment to reset the PC:

  • Restart the computer and repeatedly press F11.

  • On Choose an option, select Troubleshoot.

  • Select Reset this PC.

  • Follow the on-screen steps.
HP notes this is the method to use when Windows does not start normally.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
