Hello, I have a 2018 vintage HP Spectre x360 laptop with a 512GB SSD that is giving me intermittent "boot device not found" messages. When I get the message and try to use the HP testing program to test the hard drive, it says "hard drive not installed". I'm guessing that the SSD is starting to fail, but I don't know for sure. So I have 2 questions: 1) is it likely that I have to replace the SSD? If so, 2) how can I reinstall the Windows 11 operating system that I'm running? Thanks.

I understand that this is a Hardware issue. Since the unit might need repair, I would request you to contact HP Phone support who can schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.
For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.
Please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
