HP Laptop 15s-dy3000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have purchased a Kingston A400 240GB SSD and clone my window drive into it but when I am trying to change the boot options from HDD to SSD into bios there is no such option showing for SSD there is only two options available
1. 1TB HDD
2. UBUNTU (Because I have performed dual boot for this earlier)

Hi:

Temporarily disconnect the hard drive and the Windows boot manager should automatically switch to the SSD.

You have to remove Windows from the hard drive or the notebook will always want to boot from the hard drive first.

Notebooks that come with dual drive configurations have no OS on the 2.5" drive.

Thank You for your reply
I have one more question
My 1 TB drive has partition for Windows drive and rest for the data I want to store. Do I have to completely format my Hard Disk or formatting my windows drive is also an option?
And after that can I use both my HDD and SSD?

You're very welcome.

You should be able to just remove Windows from the drive and use the 2.5" drive for storage.

Make sure you have your files on the 2.5" drive backed up to a portable hard drive though.
