Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I need to upgrade to Windows 11, but I need to turn on secure boot, yet when I am in the Bios settings, it is greyed out. I have tried all the bios options (UEFI Native and UEFI Hybird and Legacy) avalible, and I have tried turning fast boot off, but nothing seems to work. By the way, I am using a HP EliteBook 850 Notebook Pc, and also a laptop.

Hi,

Is Windows 10 installed in EFI mode or legacy mode?

If in legacy mode, you will need to reinstall in Uefi mode.

You can also try clearing the Keys in BIOS or loading the HP factory or setup keys.

Are you trying to update to Windows 11 or are you performing a clean install?

What series of the Elitebook 850 do you have?

Hope it helps,

David
