Secure Boot Violation

I apologize, im completely computer illiterate. I have an HP Omen 16. I am trying to play Warzone and they are forcing you to have Secure Boot "ON" and TPM 2.0 enabled. 

Everytime I try to turn on secure boot through my BIOS and the PC restarts it will give me a message saying "Secure Boot Violation" ive tried everything. Im running UEFI. Ive updated my BIOS etc. Everytime I check on secure boot, my PC will give me that message and won't allow me into my PC unless I disable it.

The “Secure Boot Violation” error on your HP Omen 16 usually means the BIOS cannot verify the digital signature of the boot files. The fix is to restore Secure Boot factory keys, ensure UEFI mode is active, update BIOS, and apply Microsoft’s Secure Boot update. Once these steps are done correctly, Secure Boot should stay enabled without blocking Windows. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Enter BIOS Setup

• Restart your laptop and press F10 repeatedly to open BIOS.
• Restore Factory Keys
• Go to Security → Secure Boot Configuration.
• Select Restore Factory Keys.
• Save and exit BIOS, then reboot.

Verify Boot Mode

• Ensure UEFI Boot Mode is enabled.
• Disable Legacy Support.
• Confirm Windows Boot Manager is first in the boot order.

Update BIOS

• Download the latest BIOS for your HP Omen 16 from HP’s support site.
• Install it, then re‑enter BIOS to confirm Secure Boot is enabled.

Reset Secure Boot Keys 

• If violation persists, select Reset Secure Boot Keys to Factory Defaults in BIOS.
• Save and reboot.

Apply Microsoft Secure Boot Update

• Run Windows Update fully.
• Ensure the Secure Boot UEFI CA 2023 update is installed.
• Reboot and re‑enable Secure Boot in BIOS.

Check TPM 2.0

• Press Win + R, type tpm.msc.
• Confirm TPM 2.0 is enabled and in “Ready” state.

Common Causes of Secure Boot Violation

• Corrupted or missing boot signatures after Windows updates.
• Outdated BIOS that doesn’t recognize new Microsoft Secure Boot certificates.
• Legacy Boot mode enabled instead of UEFI.
• Platform Key not enrolled or Secure Boot keys not reset properly.

Verify in Windows:

• Press Win + R, type msinfo32.
• Check Secure Boot State = On and TPM = Ready.
• Warzone should now launch without blocking you.
