Hi.

My BIOS update is: F.43 Rev.A

I have an issue related with the boot menu screen resolution:

1. When secure boot is enabled it presents this screen resolution:

2. When secure boot is disabled it presents this screen resolution:

Why does this happen and  How do you fix it?

Note: I have used the BCDEDIT command with parameters as GRAFICRESOLUTION but it's same behavior within BIOS secure boot!

I hope your reply.

Thanks.

As I understand you are having an issue booting on your HP notebook. I'll try my best to help you with this,

I see that you have installed a retail version of Windows that's not supported by HP,

I recommend you utilize the recovery media that you created (if not, order here) to revert back to the OEM. So that I may support you further.

You can check if the recovery media is available online on www.hp.com/drivers by entering the exact model no. of your laptop. To find the exact model no. click here: http://hp.care/2bygf7l

Otherwise, you could also reach HP phone support to order the recovery media. Please fill in the product details to get the tech support number.

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Hi dear.

This issue occurred after updating my BIOS and later installation of new operating system on VHD!

Always I have used several operating systems on VHD with this HP laptop model and I've never had a problem with that!

I look forward to other solution alternatives.

Thank you :manfrustrated:

Thank you for replying,

I appreciate your time and efforts,

I would suggest you order a set of recovery media and install the Original operating system that came with the PC and check if it works or not.

Please do perform the steps I had suggested as well and get back to me with the results for further assistance.

Hi. :manindifferent:

Thank you for replying,

I Would appreciate a solution based on my present condition.

Note:
The original operating system of this laptop is Windows 7 where it was upgraded to Windows 10!
There, other operating systems were installed on VHD without altering the original file system .

Thank you.

Hi dear.

My problem was solved!

the solution: I installed other OS as Windows 10 insider preview Build 15042 on VHD.

Right Now the boot screen resolution with secure boot enabled in the Bios:
