Hello, after the reinstalling of Windows 8.1. I cannot run my notebook with Secure Boot in BIOS as a part of default setups. It says that, boot device is not found and I should install Windows on my hardrive (but it's installed already). I only have access to Windows if I turn off Secure Boot and turn on Legacy boot.

So what's the problem then? How can I run my PC with Secure boot?

Hello,

In order to palliate this incident, please follow the instructions in the HP link Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 8 ).

Please disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy Support as described in the following HP document:

If the problem persists, please perform the hard drive test as described in the following HP document:

Do not hesitate to contact us in case of need.

Hi, Mans,

I did the recovery and hard drive test (the long one, that lasts 2,5 hours) and there's nothing wrong with my hard drive. I still have the problem with activation of Secure boot.
