I can't enable the secure boot option because it is greyed out. I have windows 11 installed on my computer. This feature was supposed to be enabled when I was upgrading to windows 11 but for some reason, it was not. How can I resolve this issue and enable the secure boot?

Hi:

If Windows is installed in UEFI mode, see if this works to enable secure boot...

Step 1. Go into the BIOS and Load HP Factory Default Keys and see if Secure Boot becomes available.

Step 2. If it does not than go into the operating system and disable “Fast Boot” (Steps below).

Step 3. go back into your BIOS and try Load HP Factory Default Keys.

Step 4. enable Secure Boot at this point.

Isn't loading HP factory default keys dangerous?

I have read some posts on this website. Some people say that it is dangerous. Others say that it is safe. I am confused. I need to be 100% sure that it won't kill my laptop.

As Ben Franklin once wrote to French scientist Jean-Baptiste Leroy in 1789, in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.
