Hi @redu2,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the sleep mode issue on the HP ENVY 360 Convertible!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Update Drivers and BIOS
- Windows Update:
- Go to Settings, select Update & Security, and click on Check for updates. Install any available updates.
- HP Support Assistant:
- Open HP Support Assistant from the Start Menu or taskbar.
- Check for updates and install the latest drivers and BIOS updates provided by HP.
Power Settings Configuration
- Go to Settings, select System, and then Power & sleep.
- Ensure that the Sleep and Hibernate settings are configured correctly:
- On battery power, your device should be set to sleep or hibernate after a certain period of inactivity.
- When plugged in, configure the settings to ensure the laptop sleeps or hibernates after the designated time.
Advanced Power Settings
- Open Control Panel and go to Hardware and Sound.
- Select Power Options.
- Click on Change plan settings next to your selected power plan.
- Click on Change advanced power settings.
- Expand Sleep settings and ensure the following:
- Allow hybrid sleep is turned off.
- Allow wake timers is set to Disabled.
Troubleshoot Power
- Search and open Troubleshoot settings.
- Select Additional troubleshooters.
- Run the Power troubleshooter to detect and fix any related issues.
Check for Software Conflicts
- Perform a clean boot by disabling all non-essential startup programs using Task Manager:
- Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), go to the Startup tab.
- Disable all non-essential startup programs.
- Restart your laptop and check if the issue persists.
I hope this helps.
