For the windows password there are a number of options.   For the BIOS password there are none.

If you've forgotten your Windows password and are locked out, you can try a few options to reset it. If you're using a Microsoft account, you can reset your password online. If you're using a local account, you might need to use a password reset disk or another administrator account on the computer. If none of those work, you may need to reset Windows. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]

Here's a breakdown of potential solutions:
  1. Microsoft Account:
    • Go to the Microsoft account password reset page. [1, 3]
    • Enter the email, phone, or Skype name associated with your account. [3, 8]
    • Follow the prompts to verify your identity and create a new password. [1, 5, 9, 10]
  2. Local Account:
    • Password Reset Disk: If you created a password reset disk, insert it and follow the prompts to reset your password. [3, 7, 11]
    • Another Administrator Account: If there's another administrator account on the computer, log in with that account and reset the password through Settings > Accounts > Family & other users. [3]
    • Security Questions: If you set up security questions, you may be able to answer them to regain access. [6]
  3. If you're still locked out:
    • Reset Windows:
      • Hold down Shift and select "Restart": on the sign-in screen to enter advanced startup options. [7, 12, 13]
      • Select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC. [2]
      • Choose whether to remove your files or keep them, then follow the on-screen instructions. [2]
  4. Windows Installation Media:
    • If you have a Windows installation media (USB), you can boot your computer from it and access the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). [14]
    • From there, you may be able to use the Command Prompt to reset the password. [2, 14]
