@KD461, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
You're using an HP Laptop PC 15s-fr2000 with Windows 11 and need help reviving or resetting the Administrator Password. I’ll guide you through your options:

Steps to Reset or Recover the Admin Password

If the laptop uses a Microsoft Account to sign in:

  1. Go to the Microsoft Account Recovery page.
  2. Follow the prompts to reset the password using the registered email or phone number.
  3. Once reset, use the new password to log in.

If it's a Local Account (not linked to Microsoft):

Option 1: Use Another Admin Account (if available)

  1. Log in with another account that has administrator rights.
  2. Open Control PanelUser AccountsManage another account.
  3. Select the locked account and click Change the password.
  4. Set a new password and log in with it.

Option 2: Use a Password Reset Disk (if created earlier)

  1. Insert the USB password reset disk.
  2. On the login screen, click Reset password.
  3. Follow the Forgotten Password Wizard to set a new password.
