Good evening,
I bought an HP X2 10-N108NL and noted that the start at boot is very slow. Before the HP logo spend 30 seconds if you inserted the MicroSD.
This does not happen with the laptop HP X2 10-N011NL my friend.
I tried to update the bios but nothing has changed.

For you to have the best experience in the HP forum I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide:
I understand that with a Micro SD card installed it takes longer to boot up than without one installed.
Here is a link to HP PCs - Increasing System Performance and Maintaining Your Computer (Windows 10) that may help.
This could be because the card reader is a USB device and it is trying to boot from it first and when no operating system found it continues.
Please verify what your boot order is set to and change the order to hard drive first. Save your changes and exit.
HP PCs - Configuring the Boot Order in the System BIOS
Now try booting with the SD card installed, Did it make any difference?
You could also try turning off startup. How to Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10 (from tenforums.com)
The only other suggestion would be to not install the Micro SD card until after it has booted.

I try to give a technical description of the problem
Many users in Italy have the same problem of the boot if a microSD slot is included
on new models of Intel X5 Z8300 series
The problem is not in the BIOS setup but occurs before
There are 33 seconds of waiting and the PC does not respond before the bios loading and operating system boot. This is
unacceptable because the problem was not the case on the previous series models intel Z3736F
Are there solution in the future?

I request the change because defective?

Same Situation.
Slow boot with microsd is inserted,if microsd is inserted in another reader connected to usb the boot is fast when microsd is inserted directly in microsd slot the screen is bleck for 30 seconds,after the boot is ok

Dig you verify what the boot order was set to?
Did you try turning off the fast startup option?
Have you checked for updated drivers?

Did you verify what the boot order was set to?
OS boot manager
USB CD/DVD ROM Drive
Network Adapter
USB Diskette on Key/USB Hard Disk
Did you try turning off the fast startup option?
Yes, there remains the problem of the locked boot
Have you checked for updated drivers?
Yes
I contacted the telephone support but they gave me no solution

I had this problem too. It would show a blank screen for 30 or so seconds before the BIOS and boot. I don't know what I did to fix it, but the problem HAS gone.
I've got a lot of problems with this machine, I did update the BIOS to version F.11. I still have major problems with unpowered USB 3 external drives and MicroSD cards which disappear randomly.

I grasp that you are having an issue with the memory card reader disappearing and that your USB 3 port is not powered. I would very much like to assist you in trying to resolving this issue, but will require some additional information. What is your exact model of HP notebook? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number? What operating system are you running? Have you run the HP Support Assistant? Have you done all your Windows updates?

I think the latest news is HP are making a BIOS/driver update.
