hi everyone,

 

I have installed a solid state inn the computer, but when i try to boot the operative system, i can not do it because the bios do not recognize it (in windows i can make copies and save files there).

 

the bios version is F.69

 

someone can help me please

There are three different types of SSDs:

1) SATA SSD -- looks like a laptop drive with the same connectors

2) m.2 SATA SSD -- looks like a memory stick and has two notches in the end

3) m.2 NVMe SSD -- looks like a memory stick but has one notch in the end

 

We need to know which of these is your SSD.

OK, then I have no idea why the BIOS does not see it. 

 

With an NVMe drive, if you';re not operating in UEFI mode and you have not formatted the drive GPT, the BIOS/UEFI will not see the drive. 

 

But with a SATA drive, the BIOS should see it just like it sees an HDD, even if the drive is blank and unformatted.
