HP Recommended
Spectre x360 13"
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought open box/refurbished HP Spectre x360 13" laptop and from the day one it kept freezing permanently (  if keyboard backlit was ON - you could not turn it OFF, mouse won't move, closing/opening lid didnt help. Only option to recover - power OFF and ON. In some instances freezing would end up with BSOD and memory dump. I used Microsoft tool and analyzed memory dump which "clearly" stated that problem is with Intel i7 CPU ( 7th gen). Reflashed BIOS multiple times back and forth ( twice - to a newer version) - no results, applied all suggestions I found on multiple forums ( including one that pointed to WiFi power settings and seems like helped to a number of people) but still no luck - freezes, at least, once a day or more. Quite frustrating experience and someone may say :" Well, you bought returned devices - what did you expect?". Not going to discuss this "topic" but I think that nailed the issue, even at some point , almost gave up. So, analyzing all inputs from multiple forums, I realized that issue is somewhere within the power management. I noticed that, for whatever reason, laptop has only one Power Plan available - HP Recommended. There were no other - usual - power plans listed , such as POwer Saver or High Performance. So, I went ahead and under "Power Options" - choosen "Create a power plan" - that brought other plans available and I used High Performance but slightly modified it - just to keep laptop being able to run a little bit longer when on the battery. It has been two weeks since and not a single freeze or memory dump. If this post may help just one person - that would be worth it!
