Spectre X360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Spectre X360 laptop and recently purchased a HP Thunderbolt dock G2 120W. To the dock are connected two Dell 24" screens via HDMI and Display Port cables.

When I attach the laptop to the dock via the thunderbolt cable, I am unable to power on the laptop without opening the lid. Also, once the laptop has been powered on (after opening the lid), and I then close the lid, the laptop screen continues to be the primary monitor. I go into display settings and make one of the monitors primary, but the laptop screen continues to be where many of the programs open.

The same dock works perfectly with a HP Elitebook x360 1030 G3. That is, no need to open lid to power on and laptop screen does not show as an option when lid is closed.

Please help me resolve this!

Hi,

Here is the exact product: HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-ch0xx.

Hopefully this is what you are looking for.

Also, the only issue I am facing now is not being able to boot laptop while lid is closed. The other issue/s has been resolved.

Thanks!
