Spectre x360 Totally Dead, Won't Charge

I think a capacitor or other hardware on my Spectre x360 might be friend, and am wanting to check if others have experienced this and what my options might be.

A month or two ago I noticed my x360 was not charging properly.  It had always been able to charge via either of the two USB-C ports.  But recently, it would only charge through one (the one that's angled on the corner).  Then, after a week or two, it stopped charging out of that port as well.  I tried all the battery reset instructions I found online: holding power button for lengthy time, holding power-WIN key, etc.  Nothing would turn it on.  Additionally, no charging light would come on when plugged in, despite confirming the charger worked just fine for other devices (and trying multiple chargers).

I thought the battery had died.  I bought a replacement battery and easily installed it myself.  The laptop booted up and seemed fine.  But after about a week, the identical charging problem came back.  It will not charge out of either port.  The charging light won't come on.  I have tried all the reset/power-button instructions.

My best guess is that something on the motherboard or thunderbolt/USB-C circuitry has friend.  Perhaps it wasn't completely fried.  I've had the laptop for 3 years and it's out of warranty.  I love this laptop, but I'm doubtful a repair would be cost effective if it needs a motherboard or other hardware repair.  If anyone has experience with this issue or advice, I'd appreciate it.

Try using a dedicated charger that isn't USB-C, or have a repair shop check whether the power management chip on the motherboard is damaged.

Thanks for that suggestion. I actually have used multiple dedicated laptop chargers, as well as general usb-C charges with sufficient wattage. Same result in either case. I'm thinking motherboard
