Hello,
My laptop suddenly stopped working today. Yesterday it was working well with no issues at all, but today I am unable to turn it on. I let it charge for 30 min, but it still does not turn on. The power button LED does not turn on, and the fans don’t turn on either. I can’t access my battery unless I take out the entire back of my laptop, but otherwise I’ve tried everything that the virtual help assistant told me to do. My warranty expired in 2016 and for some reason HP does not offer any sort of customer support on the phone unless you’re within warranty. Would anyone be able to help? I looked up past threads and there seems to be a motherboard issue with the 2015 spectres, and I’m wondering if that’s the problem with my laptop. Thanks!

Hi
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.
Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.
Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat
NOW begin checking/testing/proving the Hardware is fit for purpose.
Power on your PC, press ESC (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).

HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows is a Windows-based utility that allows you to run diagnostic tests to determine if the computer hardware is functioning properly. The tool runs within the Windows operating system in order to diagnose hardware failures. Thank you for the response! I have already tried holding the power button for 15 seconds (with no external devices connected) and the laptop still does not turn on (no LED, no screen, no fans). I have done this 4 times already. As such, I am unable to run the hardware diagnostics program as my laptop does not turn on.
