Product: Elitebook 8440w

I have an HP Elitebook 8440w laptop which is now probably over 10 years old now and I turned it on recently to revisit some thing that I was looking for and it randomly shut off. (It has ran fine with out a battery for awhile.) Currently whenever it has any power: the fan will spin some of the lights will turn on, then it’ll shut off again, (screen remains blank with no sign of life, I can provide a video link of this process if someone needs it)

I have already done a bunch of research trying to find what is causing this issue but I have had no luck. I have also tried running with battery, w/o battery and I already know the hard drive is still ok.  I am posting on here because I am sentimental about this laptop and have hope that I could try to keep this piece of history alive.

I have tried many potential solutions listed on various websites but none worked, any suggestions or advice is appreciated. (I know I should just give up, but I simply refuse to)
