Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When I power on the laptop, first the HP logo screen comes up, then the screen goes black, again the logo appears and this goes over and over. I started encountering this problem after a restart of my PC after enabling the fingerprint security. I've tried doing power reset, but it didn't solve the problem. I also tried pressing Windows Key along with 'B' on keyboard while power on. But that too didn't work. I expect you to give a better solution for this.

The HP Logo is contained in the firmware of the motherboard so displaying it does not required using the hard drive extensively. But, if your PC boot process does not get beyond that, this could be an indication that the hard drive has died.

To check the drive you have to follow these steps:
1) Press Esc key repeatedly, several times a second, while rebooting the laptop. Do NOT hold the key down, just press it over and over.
2) Eventually, you will see an HP Startup Menu -- that will look similar to the image below ...
HP Startup Menu.jpg
3) press the Function key for testing the hard drive (usually F2) and let it run.

Please report back the test results.

I did a Hard Drive test as you said. The test almost took 2 hours for its completion, but finally passed. Now i hope the problem is not with the hard drive. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
