First of all, this thread was about problems with an old DV6 that was upgraded from Win7 to Win10 -- and that is clearly NOT your issue. So, please don't hijack other folks threads about different problems -- it makes it really difficult for us to provide solutions.
Second, since this is a relatively new machine, you should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about diagnosing and repairing your machine remotely. I did this recently and the HP Tech was able to remotely access my PC from the Internet and do the needed repairs.
If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1
If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
Good Luck

Although this problem did start to occur when I updated the BIOS to the latest version (2.29 on a 6200) using Windows 10 x64, the problem is actually due to Windows being installed with the BIOS set to Legacy mode instead of UEFI. This affects the way Windows creates the initial partitions on the hard drive which is what I am assuming is causing the problem.
If you set the BIOS to UEFI mode and install Windows 10 or use an image created with UEFI partitions, the hanging on restart issue does not occur. This may or may not be a bug with HP's BIOS on these models but this issue definately started after I updated to the latest BIOS on the 6200 and the 8300 Elite models.
