Hello Trinity772,

Thanks for reaching out.

Step1-Perform a power drain:
Power off PC, disconnect charger and other peripherals connected.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, once done, release the power button and connect charger and power ON PC and check the performance.

Step2-Run diagnostics:
If issue persists, restart PC and keep tapping the F2 key to boot into system diagnostics.
Select on Component Test, and run a test on Hard drive/SSD.
If the test fails and returns a failure ID, contact HP Support and share the failure ID, if it passes, continue to troubleshoot further.

Step3-Set the right boot order in BIOS:
Restart laptop and keep tapping the F10 key, select the Advanced Tab > Boot Options > Ensure "UEFI Boot Order" is enabled.

Step4-Restore BIOS to default settings:
Restart laptop and keep tapping the F10 key > On the Main Tab, select Apply Factory Defaults > Click Yes.

Step5-Repair Boot records:
If the issue is intermittent, boot into Windows and open command prompt and run the below commands one after the other.

bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /rebuildbcd

Step5:Update BIOS:
If the issue is intermittent, please connect the charger and update the latest BIOS from the HP Driver Page.
